More commonly referred to as crown imperial lilies, they make a bold decorative statement and have been loved and grown since ancient times. The plant flowers in a cluster at the top a slender stalk making it seem like a crown and thus earning its name. The naked stalk can grow upto 3 feet above the foliage making the crown lilies a breathtaking sight. This pink flower bulbs need to be planted in January to get blooms in late spring and while the plant goes dormant in summer they come back the next season. Plant your lily bulbs 6-8 inches deep in a well-drained but rich potting mix, plant the bulb at a slight angle to avoid pooling of water at the top of the lily bulb. The Fritillaria lily loves full sun to partial sun through the day and avoid over watering the plant.
Always check your plants before watering, the topsoil should be dry to touch. For succulents allow the potting mix to dry completely before watering again.
Place your plants on window sills where it can get the brightest possible indirect light. Bright indirect light is when the plant is within a couple of feet of a natural source of light.
